Valentine’s Day: Part 2 – Florists and Gift Ideas!

Reading Time: 4 minutes

As Cersei Lannister wisely quotes in HBO’s Game of Thrones, “The occasional kindness will spare you all sorts of trouble down the road.” Maybe that’s not the best television character to quote, but she’s not wrong. Getting your significant other a gift on Valentine’s Day, no matter how small, is a great opportunity to show them that you do like them quite a lot (…maybe even love them). With that in mind, here’s a few las minute gift ideas for the lucky, lovely person in your life.

Flowers:

Zeidler’s
Pre-orders at Zeidler’s flowers are available online for those who don’t like to wait until last minute. Go one step further and pair the flowers with one of their gift options available!

It Can Be Arranged
Yes, they have tons of stunning floral arrangements to choose from, but they also have a huge showroom with a wide variety of gift options. This is truly a one-stop shop!

Edible Arrangements
Show your beloved foodie how much you care and surprise them with a delicious bouquet of chocolate covered strawberries from Edible Arrangements.

Gehlhausen Floral

Gifts

Jewelry
Evansville is so blessed with such a great variety of jewelry stores. We have The Diamond Galleria, Drostes, Tracy Zellers, Brinkers, McCarty’s Diamonds and Fine Jewelry… Ladies love when you take the time out to pick out something they can wear every day and humbly brag about how thoughtful you are when people comment on it. Whether it’s their birthstone or a nice set of earrings (even though I think a few of them would prefer a ring with a diamond), your gift will be loved. And ladies, jewelry stores are great places to find a gift for your man as well! I think we all know that watches give the wearer a certain level of sophistication (even if it’s just an illusion), so help your dude pull his look together and get him a watch you approve of.

Chocolate
Yep, it’s another traditional, but timeless, gift on the list: Chocolate. I’m not just talking about a Hershey bar you pick up at the checkout line though (but I’m also not dogging the idea). I’m just saying it’s even better when you’re able to support your local chocolate dealer such as Mike Libbs, Sweet Schmitt’s Candies, or Stephen Libbs.

Couple’s Massage (or Massage gift certificate for them)
Book a couple’s massage for you both to enjoy this Valentine’s Day! Fusion, Shannon Aleksander’s, Beaux Cheveus Salon, Spa & Boutique, Massage Envy, Bob’s Gym East, and The AHH Spa are a few great selections in the area.

A “Where We’ve Been” Map
And finally, if you happen to travel a lot with your significant other, get yourselves a couple’s travel map. You can make your own by buying a map and using the pictures you take with each other in that state/country to fill it in or use pins to mark it.
