Valentine’s Day is the night to pamper your loved one and a perfect excuse to pull out that fancy outfit you can’t figure out the right place to wear. Once you’re all dolled up, I guess you’ll probably want an idea of where to go, so here’s a list of some of the most romantic restaurants in the area.

Sauced
Even the building of Sauced is romantic. Heck, the entire street of Haynie’s Corner is pretty much an ideal date spot. The lowlights and Italian cuisine will definitely have you feeling some type of way, which makes it a great place to impress your date on Valentine’s Day.

Smitty’s Italian Steakhouse
There’s nothing about Italian food that doesn’t scream romance. Remember that iconic scene from Lady and the Tramp where they share a spaghetti noodle? Romantic. That can be you and your date at Smitty’s.

Cavanaugh’s
I’d argue Tropicana’s Cavanaugh’s is one of the fanciest places you can take your date for a steak in the tristate (feel free to use that rhyme in your Valentine’s Day card).

Madeleine’s
This cute fusion restaurant makes food look like art and is the only fusion restaurant in the tristate! Reservations (especially for Valentine’s Day) are highly recommended.

Haub Steakhouse
Haub Steakhouse has received awards for being the best date night spot AND having the best steak. That seems like a pretty big deal so I would act fast and get that reservation.

The Log Inn
If you’ve been to The Log Inn then you know the hype around it is the real deal. I would argue pretty passionately that they have some of the best fried chicken around (which means some of the best gravy). Also, being the “Oldest Restaurant” in Indiana, it has a certain level of charm and ambiance.

Sandy’s Pizza
I know what you’re thinking…. How is this a romantic restaurant? Well, if you’re dating a lady or man who likes to keep it low-key, then they just might think Sandy’s pizza is pretty darn romantic. Some people like steaks, others like pasta but (almost) EVERYONE loves a good pizza.

Gerst Haus
Tell your date you’re taking her/him to Germany and bring her/him to Evansville’s Gerst Haus. They might actually believe it.

I actually really missed Evansville.

Red Geranium
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: New Harmony is beautiful. The Red Geranium is no exception either. If you’re into that “Old World Charm” from the 19th century then you’ll really enjoy having your Valentine’s Day dinner at this beautiful restaurant.

Cork & Cleaver
And finally, one of Evansville’s favorite go-to restaurants for romantic dinners is, of course, the Cork & Cleaver. If you’ve never been then Valentine’s Day seems like the perfect excuse to see what all the fuss is about.

Farmer and Frenchman
You certainly don’t want to miss this quaint, yet rustic, winery and restaurant located just a short drive to Henderson. With an extensive wine selection, handmade pastas and locally sourced ingredients, you and your date can share a romantic dinner overlooking the vineyard. Sounds pretty good, right?
