With Father’s Day sneaking up on you, you might be experiencing the familiar panic of not being sure how to show your dad how much you love and appreciate him on the day specifically dedicated to him. Don’t worry though, we have a few ideas of places to take him in the Evansville area that we think he’ll love! Here are 8 things to do with your dad to show him he’s #1!

For the Fun, Chill Dad…

High Score Saloon

Why not take your dad back a few decades and join him for a few arcade-style games at High Score Saloon located downtown? Buy him some nachos and a cold beer and let him go nuts on Galaga and Pac Man.

Beer & Pool Night

Give your dad a nice evening of burgers, beers, and pool by taking him to Sportsman’s on Franklin Street. He’ll enjoy spending time in a casual atmosphere with his favorite child.

For the Foodie…

Steak Night

If the casual scene seems less than what you want to give your dad, then take him to a steakhouse! Try Cavanaugh’s or Smitty’s if you’re looking for something locally owned.

For the Sports and Outdoor Enthusiast…

Golf

Take your dad golfing and either join him or be his caddy for the day. Not able to afford a membership? That’s not a problem at these public golf facilities: Eagle Valley Golf Course, Helfrich Hills Golf Course, Fendrich Golf Course, Cambridge Golf Course, or McDonald Golf Course.

Bowling

A little friendly competition is healthy for every father-daughter/son relationship. Challenge your dad to a few rounds of bowling with the beer and pizza being (of course) on you. Not sure where to bowl? Check out Franklin Lanes, AMF Arc Lanes, Diamond Lanes, River City Recreation, or the newly renovated Showplace Cinemas in Newburgh.
