Not many people know this (mostly because it’s not true), but the reason “over-sized” sweaters and flannels are so popular in the fall is because people want to enjoy the pumpkin treats to their full extent. So, in order to help you achieve this goal we’ve hunted down some local places to get your pumpkin fix.

Perfect Pumpkin with Streusel Pie
Be Happy Pie Company has many delicious treats, but since our focus is on ‘pumpkin’ today we would like to draw attention to this absolutely delicious Perfect Pumpkin with Streusel Pie. Not a fan of streusel? Well, that’s fine because they also have Pumpkin Scones! Head to 2818 B Mt. Vernon Avenue when you’re ready for some fall treats.

Pumpkin Cinnamon Cupcake
I’m personally never satisfied with just one cupcake, so naturally another pumpkin cupcake option has to be added to the list from Sweet Betty’s Bakery. Might as well try both for good measure. This one can be found at 5600 E. Virginia Street, Suite E.

Pumpkin Snicker Doodle Cookies
If you’ve never had a Pumpkin Snicker Doodle Cookie before, then I can’t help but feel a little sorry for your taste buds. Whether you already love it or want to try it, Granola Jar is here to save the day. You can get your little slice of heaven at either 1033 E. Mount Pleasant Drive or 111 S. Green River Road.

I’d argue that ice cream is the perfect dessert to end any meal, but Lic’s Pumpkin Pie Ice Cream is in a whole other ball park. I know many people who will tell you they have the best ice cream in town, so it’s definitely worth a stop to try this for yourself.
