Picture this: a warm breeze kissing your face as you enjoy an ice-cold beer while seated under a set of fairy lights strung above your head. Of the many joys of summer, not many can hold a candle next to a relaxing evening spent on a patio. When you’re looking for your next chill night out, check out one of Evansville’s favorite restaurant patios!

Bar Louie | Eagle Crest Blvd

Located on the east side of Evansville, Bar Louie provides a delightful, seasonal patio. Burger night is Tuesday where you can stuff your face for only $1 with the purchase of a drink.

Bru Burger Evansville

Bru Burger – Downtown

I’m already drooling thinking about their Mexicali Burger, but Bru Burger is one of the coolest places to eat in the downtown area. The restaurant is built into an old Greyhound bus station which makes it in a word… unique. But unique in a totally good way. Their patio is covered, spacious and everything you could want in an outdoor patio. I have yet to try a burger there that I didn’t like.

The Dapper Pig – Downtown

The Dapper Pig in Historic Haynie’s Corner

If the name of this restaurant alone doesn’t make you want to check it out, then there’s really nothing I can say to convince you otherwise. I am here for the Dapper Pig. With a gorgeous outdoor patio, this trendy restaurant gives you a great vantage point to enjoy watching the hustle and bustle of Haynie’s Corner.

Gerst Haus patio

Gerst Haus | Franklin Street

Ahh Gerst Haus. Pretend like you’re in Germany for a night and enjoy an evening sipping on their special giant and frozen fish bowl of Gerst Amber beer or one of their other 49 draught selections. Their signature food includes wiener schnitzel, bratwurst, corned beef, and cabbage. You won’t find a better pretend trip to Germany anywhere else in the tri-state.

Fiesta Acapulco Patio

Fiesta Acapulco Mexican Cuisine | Newburgh

Enjoy a visit to Newburgh and drop by Fiesta Acapulco! This patio overlooks a lake to provide you with a more intimate and relaxing experience.

KC’s Marina Pointe | Waterworks Road

KC’s Marina Pointe

If you’re ever wondering where half of the Evansville population disappears to on any given summer evening, you might want to check out K.C. Marina Pointe. Located on the Ohio Riverfront, this bar is open air and is one giant patio party. It’s THE place to go for dancing, live music, and drinks.

Roca Bar Patio

Roca Bar North | U.S. 41

Locally owned and operated, Roca Bar North provides an outdoor patio plus live entertainment on the weekends (holla!). Although mainly acknowledged for their delicious pizzas, their original Roca Bar Italian Salads go underrated.

Rooftop | Martin Luther King Jr Blvd

I think by its name you can probably imagine where the ROOFTOP’s outdoor seating is. This cool new restaurant opened in late 2017 and is excited for spring to introduce their unique rooftop style seating area to Evansville. Be one of the first to check it out and be able to literally look down on people as you enjoy a view of downtown.

Patio at Sauced

Sauced | Downtown

Looking for a good date night to charm the lovely person in your life? Nothing screams romance like delicious Italian food and wine under the stars. Located in downtown Evansville, Sauced is built within a beautifully renovated house from the 1870s and deliberately designed to give you a romantic experience. Treat yourself to a night out filled with lowlights and exquisite Italian cuisine at Sauced!

Smitty’s | Franklin Street

Smitty’s Italian Steakhouse

Also located on Franklin Street, Smitty’s adds an Italian flair with its carefully composed wine menu and pastas. The spacious, beautiful patio is Smitty’s pride and joy that gives their dining experience an edge over all others.

Sportsman’s | Franklin Street

Patio at Sportsmans

Dear, dear Sportsman’s…. Situated somewhere between chill and awesome, Sportsman’s has a patio that gives you a great view down westside Franklin Street. More importantly, however, is the food. Do yourself a favor and try their burgers. They. Are. Phenomenal. And definitely don’t forget to order cheese balls. No trip to Sportsman’s is complete without them.

Tiki Time | Waterworks Road

Maybe this doesn’t actually count as a patio, but it’s technically outdoors and it’s, like, really cool so it’s making the list. Tiki Time is Evansville’s only floating restaurant and bar located at Marina Pointe! It’s boater and non-boater friendly, which means if you’re already out boating then you can float through and grab yourself a meal!
