Fall is arguably the best time of the year. There’s less humidity, mosquitos are dying, trees are changing, and (best of all) pumpkin season reigns supreme. In other words, it’s the perfect time to get outside and document your life with pictures of pumpkins. So whether you take your kids, friends, significant other, or self, we listed the most Instagram-worthy orchards and pumpkin patches in the tristate to help you fully enjoy fall while it lasts.

Mayse Farm Market
Beginning towards the end of September and running until Halloween, Mayse Farm will be offering wagon rides to their pumpkin patches, pumpkin picking, 5-acre corn mazes, and other fun activities for only $6 on weekdays and $9 on weekends ($5 extra if you want to take home a pumpkin). Wagon rides on weekdays leave at 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm.

Knepp’s Fun Fest
Get ready, because on September Knepp’s Fun Festival opens its gates to provide some good ol’ fashioned fall fun! General Admission includes hayride, corn maze, petting zoo, and pumpkin bowling. Premium passes ($20) give you full access to zip lines, pony rides, and paddle boats. And for only $4 per activity you can pick a pumpkin, paint a pumpkin, or make a candle.

Goebel Farm
If you only do one corn maze this year, then Goebel Farm’s maze will not let you down. This year they are honoring the Royal Wedding with a corn maze portrait of Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan. So wind your way through the Royal Couple’s faces then take a hayride to pick some pumpkins.

Huber’s Orchard & Winery
This might be a little more of a day trip, but Huber’s Orchard, Winery, and Vineyards is always worth a visit in the fall. With 600-acres of orchards and vineyards to explore, you can enjoy picking fruit and vegetables to your heart’s content. And did you happen to note that it’s also a winery? Because I think it’s important to point that out again… just in case.

Engelbrecht’s Orchard
Pick your own apples and pumpkins at Engelbrecht’s Orchard, or keep an eye on their ripening calendar to see what they have in season! Engelbrecht’s boasts producing the best fruit around, so they also participate in local Farmer’s Markets such as the one in Downtown Evansville, Downtown Newburgh, Franklin Street Bazaar, and Warrick County Farmers’ Market.
