Reading Time: 4 minutes

If it’s fallen on your shoulders to plan the evening with your special someone on Valentine’s Day this year, then you’re in luck because V-Day happens to be on a Friday this year! If you’re more traditional and prefer a quiet candlelit dinner, then you might want to pop down to #6 on this list; otherwise, we’ve compiled a list that’ll speak to the active and/or artsy couple!

Swonder Ice Arena
Sweetheart Skate
3-5 PM
February 14

Swonder’s invites you and your loved one to join them for a romantic skate around the ice arena this year. I like to think of this date night as one that is most likely to be favored by physically coordinated individuals, or by those who want to joke about “falling hard” for their date. This buy one get one admission/skate rental is hard to beat though and could make for a fun, unique Valentine’s Day memory.

Walther’s Golf & Fun

The grand reopening of Walther’s to celebrate its new renovations is set for February 8, so a Valentine’s Day date will make you among the first of many to check it out. Your inner child will rejoice with the renewed fun of classic arcade games, mini-golf, and lazer tag games, and there’s really nothing better than reminding your significant other that you beat them for the next several months.

Fired Up Valentine’s Couples’ Night
February 14

Even the least artsy of us can have fun with this one. Fired Up is offering a Couples’ Night that allows you to create something for each other, or work on a project as a team.Take home a frame, mug, or candle holder that you and your date can either cherish or laugh at together down the line. A $10 deposit is required to hold your spot.

A Roaring Vaudeville Valentine’s Dinner Show
Bokeh Lounge 6-9 PM
February 14

If you’re looking for something unique that includes music, dancing, a three course meal, bourbon, beer, and wine tasting, and ventriloquist performances then, good news, you can spend your Valentine’s Day doing just those things at Bokeh Lounge. This extravagant dinner and show is $100 per person, but it is a cost that is well spent.

Painting With A Twist

As an alarmingly non-creative being, mixing wine and paint doesn’t exactly pan out well. Painting With A Twist is great because the instructors do their best to make sure you’re not taking home a mess on a canvas. Whether you’re artistically inclined or not, you and your date will [probably] enjoy sipping on wine and bringing out your inner Bob Ross together. Join the fun for a Valentine’s Day themed painting that the two of you can hang on your wall and laugh at together forever.

Sauced: Valentine’s Day Tasting Dinner
The Ballroom at Sauced: 6 PM

Whether you’re a wine connoisseur or not, you can put on your fancy pants for an evening for a carefully selected wine/dinner experience that will make you and your date at least feel like you’re wine experts.

Breakout Evansville

What says “I love you” more than dedicating an hour to being stuck in a room together? Note: When you tell your loved one about these plans, it is very important to clearly say “breakout” not “breakup.”
