Starting Saturday, June 4, and ending on Sunday, June 12, the Southern Indiana Builders Association (SIBA) is presenting the 71st annual Parade of Homes. Twenty-two newly constructed homes in Evansville, Newburgh, Boonville, and Haubstadt will be showcased as area builders highlight the latest trends in craftsmanship and products.

With the homes on the Parade spread across a wide area, the map will come in handy when planning your route, which we recommend doing ahead of time with today’s gas prices. And when you are driving around, keep your eyes peeled for signs pointing you in the right direction.

Of course, the best way to go on a tour is at dinner time when you can sample some great food from local establishments. The SIBA Chefs on Parade will kick off the Parade of Homes TONIGHT! In this exclusive event, sponsored by CenterPoint Energy, ticket holders get to visit 4 different Parade homes with food catered by 4 local dining establishments. Limited tickets are available for only $30 and can be purchased online at the SIBA website. Enjoy great dishes provided by Pappa Bear’s Catering, Hometown Roots, La Campriana & The Wine Down. To Shoe Or NOT To Shoe…
Yes, good shoes will take you good places, but once you’re there, it’s okay to take them off or cover them. Remember, the homes are new, and the builders and designers would love to keep their masterpieces in pristine showing condition. Shoe covers will be provided. In fact, grab a fresh pair at your first stop and then hang on to them for use at the other homes. Of course, wearing a pair of kicks that are easy to slip on and off will be easier on you. Just make sure you grab the right pair when you leave!
And The Winners Are…
On Tuesday, June 7, winners of the various price range categories will be announced at the Parade banquet. You can vote for The People’s Choice Award, but be sure to do so early on before voting ends.
