The Parade of Homes is right around the corner! Starting tomorrow June 5, through Sunday June 13, Southern Indiana Builders Association (SIBA) is presenting the 70th annual Parade of Homes. Twenty-seven newly constructed houses in Posey, Gibson, Warrick, and Vanderburgh counties will be showcased as the builders highlight the latest trends in craftsmanship and products.

Tour Map and Magazine
Since all of the homes on the Parade tour are spread across 4 counties, a map comes in handy when planning your route. Maybe you want to see every single home. Maybe you want to see only homes in one area. Or by one builder. Or at one price point. Use the tour map on line or in the magazine to plan your outing most efficiently. And when you are driving around, keep your eyes peeled for signs pointing you in the right direction.
A map of all of the Parade homes is available to download on the website, or you can pick up the official 2021 Tour Magazine for a map PLUS descriptions of the homes and advertisements of the builders and suppliers. Magazines are available at all of the homes.
Chefs on Parade: Friday June 4
As a kick off to the Parade, SIBA hosts Chefs on Parade on Friday, June 4. In this exclusive event, sponsored by CenterPoint Energy, ticket holders get to have a progressive dinner at 6 different Parade homes catered by 6 different local chefs. Limited tickets are available for only $30 and can be purchased online at the SIBA website.
3D Virtual Tours
While the cloud of Covid-19 is lifting in our area, many people are still cautious about being in large groups of people. In an effort to curb crown size and give people an alternative, SIBA is hosting 3D virtual tours of all of the Parade Homes. Using this 3D option is also a great way to save gas and miles on your vehicle!
Shoes and Masks
As usual, most of the homes will require that you remove your shoes and/or wear shoe covers in the homes to cut down on dirt being carried into the home by a lot of traffic. So keep this in mind when picking your wardrobe!
Follow the CDC advice on mask wearing as you tour homes: vaccinated people need not mask up, but non-vaccinated people need to cover their nose and mouth while touring homes.
Winner announcement
On Tuesday, June 8, winners of the various price range categories will be announced. Keep your eyes and ears peeled. You yourself can vote for The People’s Choice Award, but you have to turn in your choices before Tuesday, June 8!
Raffle
This year you can participate in a 50/50 half-pot raffle. See website for rules and further details. Tickets can be bought, in cash only, at any parade home through Sunday June 13 at 6:00 PM. One winner will be selected on Monday, June 14, at 1:00 PM CDT. Proceeds from the half-pot will benefit SIBA and the local Make A Wish Foundation.
